Easy knitting and crochet patterns are available as well as a supply of yarns and needles.  Drop-ins from beginners to experts are welcome with no commitment required.  For those who find it more convenient to work on their own, yarn, patterns and needles can be provided.

This group creates an assortment of hand crafted items,  Some of the group’s creations have included preemie and infant hats, baby afghans, infant layette items including sweaters and buntings, adult scarves, hats, shawls and blankets, lap robes and prayer shawls for comfort distribution for the ill and home bound.

They have also begun creating dresses made from gently used pillow cases for girls in Third World countries. Projects made with loving hands have been donated to Waterbury Hospital Birthing Center, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Griffin Hospital, Derby.  These outreach projects by these dedicated participants have made a significant positive impact on the surrounding communities and are gratefully appreciated.
