“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen.” Heb. 11:1
“No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us,
and God’s love is perfected in us.” I John 4:12
All of us, whether we acknowledge it or not, are traveling a life-long spiritual journey. We need not travel that road alone; indeed, our journeys are enriched by the travelers we meet along the way. As a pastor, I have seen and personally experienced the grace and power to be found in the connections with a faith community, others who support and encourage one another amidst life’s joys and sorrows, life’s blessings and challenges. My Christian faith is central to my understanding of the world, and I joyfully invite others to share in the promises of the GOOD NEWS in Jesus Christ. I also value and respect the many and varied experiences of other people of faith, and I hear in their stories the presence of the Divine, the voice of God who still speaks to us today.
Witnessing to and sharing our faith, while listening for God’s voice in the lived experience of others helps all of us find God’s will and way for the world. In the 21st Century, technology has given us new ways to communicate, new ways to learn from one another, new ways to engage in our spiritual journeys of discovery. What does God call us to do and be? How will we live in relationship with God and with one another? What guidelines for faithful living will we embrace? How can we be God’s people in the world, working toward justice and peace for all?
In this space, I look forward to exploring God’s call upon our lives and our journey of faith. Let’s share the journey!
Blessings, Grace and Peace be with you!
